A traditional “Theneer kadai” (tea shop), an essential component of Tamil culture, is often a small building with a thatched or tiled roof. People congregate over glasses of black or sweetened tea and traditional pastries to discuss news and gossip. We recreate this sensation for our guests at The Amor by playing ghazals on the radio.

Tobacco Free Hookah
A hookah is a vaporiser with one or more stems that allows users to smoke flavoured tobacco or non-tobacco-based substances. Before being inhaled or just tasted, the smoke or vapour is filtered through a glass bowl filled with water. The hookahs of Amor Aura are available upon request for visitors who wish to partake in this unique social custom.
Tuk Tuk Savari
A coerced motorised three-wheeled transport vehicle is called a tuk tuk. Other passengers are seated on benches behind the driver, who is seated in front. It’s a new experience to explore the different roads and by-lanes. Amor Aura will supply its own driver and tuk tuk to its guests.
Muthuvankudy Tribal Visit
A half-day walk to an indigenous tribal settlement is part of this itinerary. The journey will pass through a spice plantation, a shola forest, and mild mountain slopes. Visitors will get a close-up look at the production and processing of spices. In addition to elements of their culture, they will get a peek of the day-to-day activities of members of a tribe.
Temple/Mosque/Church Visit
The trip includes stops at a local church, mosque, and well-known church. In addition to some of the unique religious rites, visitors will be able to observe some features of the common religious architecture.
Jeep Safari
Early in the morning and later in the afternoon, when wildlife can be seen along the trails and at watering locations, Jeep safaris venture into the area’s amazing wildlife reserves. The safaris are led by seasoned game wardens who have extensive knowledge of the park’s fauna and are skilled trackers.
Sunset view at Shevaroy Temple
The Shevaroy Temple is situated atop a windy hill with breathtaking views. Additionally, windmills that produce electricity are located there. Shevaroy Temple’s sunsets are breathtaking, and Amor Aura will plan excursions for visitors.
Boating - Emerald Lake
Nestled in the center of Yercaud and surrounded by verdant hills and greenery, the reservoir-like section of Yercaud Lake is a breathtaking location. With alternatives including motor boats, row boats, and pedal boats, it provides a tranquil environment for leisurely boating. It’s a great place to relax and take nature photos because of the breathtaking views everywhere.
